Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz called today to strengthen the business structure in Isla de la Juventud, during a working visit to this territory led by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, President of the Republic of Cuba.
Marrero Cruz pointed out that in the heat of the monetary order, the state sector - the main actor in the economy - must internalize its role in the consolidation of the Development Program in the special municipality, whose update must correspond to the Economic-Social Strategy for 2030 .
Precisely among the faculties of the socialist state enterprise is the formation of prices, but the distortion of these is based, among other matters, on the lack of a cost sheet for its formulation, according to Ramón Ledesma Céspedes, president of the National Association of Economists and Accountants of Cuba.

Díaz-Canel Bermúdez called on the pineros to become a model of municipal autonomy for the country, banish the import mentality, work with passion in the materialization of projects, articulate development actors and effectively use science and innovation in the face of to the continuous improvement of the quality of life of the population.
The working session served to examine the management of local authorities to face the epidemiological situation of Isla de la Juventud in a phase of limited autochthonous transmission, the confrontation with hoarders and resellers and the production of food with debts in the satisfaction of the demand .
Accompanying the Cuban president and the prime minister on his visit to Isla de la Juventud, were Vice Prime Ministers Roberto Morales Ojeda and Alejandro Gil Fernández, Marino Murillo Jorge, head of the Commission for the Implementation and Development of the Guidelines, and a group of ministers.
This was the fifteenth meeting of its kind in Cuba, in which the highest authorities of the country exchanged with local leaders, after a journey that began on January 18 in Havana in the midst of a complex crisis scenario due to COVID -19 and aggravated for Cuba by the tightening of the United States blockade.
