Description of the procedure: Article 290 of the Road Safety Code states that - Regular drivers, punished by cancellation of the driving license, are obliged to expire and pass a driver education and driving course duly certified by the authorized institution, as a requirement prior to opting for a new license, after the cancellation time.

Article 291 of the Road Safety Code states that -Duty drivers can reduce a part of the points accumulated by traffic notifications or the period of the administrative sanction of suspension of the driving license if, voluntarily, they choose to carry out of theoretical and practical examinations
Article 292.-The Minister of the Interior may reduce the sanctioning framework of the administrative suspension sanction of the driving license, to drivers who within thirty days after having incurred in some of the causes provided for in Article 288, are they present voluntarily in the corresponding Driving License body to comply with the sanction. They can also choose to undergo a theoretical and practical re-examination as an alternative measure to compliance with the administrative sanction of suspension of the driving license.
Article 293.-The following are excepted from the application of the measures set forth in articles 291 and 292:
1- They are detected driving under the influence of alcohol; drugs, hallucinogenic, hypnotic, narcotic drugs or drugs with similar effects. Of any type and in any circumstance; and
2- They have not made the payment of the fine within the established term.

Approximate duration time:
Once the theoretical exam has been passed: The Learner's Permit will be delivered to the applicant at the time.

Notes:
These theoretical and practical exams are carried out in the Municipal Procedures units of Pinar -1 and 2, and the results are immediately communicated to the driver.
In the practical exam: The applicant must present the learning permit, to the specialist for whom he will be evaluated in the practical exam, taking an exam where the parameters established in the Road Safety code will be evaluated.
