Zunilda García Garcés, deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power and president of the Municipal Defense Council (CDM), highlighted the preparation of the People's Power delegates for the III process of accountability corresponding to the seventeenth period of mandate.
The foregoing was presented at the Government headquarters, where the preparatory seminar for the delegates took place to face such an important process that will begin in the Municipality on November 2.
The also first secretary of the Party referred to the complex current situation, exacerbated even more by the pandemic; however, "both the country and the island have known how to grow to face it and preserve the lives of the inhabitants, who together must advance in self-sufficiency and continue daring to do more for the welfare of the people."
Liván Fuentes Álvarez, deputy and vice president of the CDM, pointed out that the territory is at the advanced stage of the process, about which he exhorted the 83 delegates to nourish themselves with the knowledge and the greater information in order to win in preparation to offer the adequate response or explanation to voters regarding their concerns.
During Thursday and Friday, directors of entities and organizations, such as the Delegation of Agriculture, Hydraulic Resources, Directorate of Labor, Etecsa and Mail, Transportation, Community Services, the Ministry of the Interior, among others, updated the delegates about the main achievements and shortcomings; as well as the state of the proposals.
This meeting was conducive to saying goodbye and recognizing the work of Orlando Pupo Zaragoza, who served as coordinator of the program and objectives related to food, culture and sports in the Board of Directors and returned to the province of Holguín.
Until November 30, the assemblies will be held on the Island, where the delegates will render an account of their management in the stage, in a democratic exercise the residents will raise their concerns; at the same time, it will be a propitious moment to stimulate prominent residents in different activities.
