In a tour of productive areas of the agriculture system, Tapia Fonseca verified in situ the advances that are appreciated in the hectares (ha) under irrigation, an imperative that demands efficiency and due cultural attention to ensure the 30 pounds per capita of grains, fruits , meats and vegetables to the more than 83 thousand inhabitants. He recognized the capacity of the locals to guarantee the 370 tons of beans in the basic basket, as well as the potential available for the 1,300 ha in the annual plan to ensure the marketing of this expensive food throughout the year in the world market. However, he called for reviewing the payment systems in the production bases attached to the agro-industrial company to eliminate distortions in their application, wage stimulation of those who contribute the most in the furrow and minimize the number of intermediaries in the chain until marketing . Daniel Rodríguez Parra, branch delegate, explained the way in which food production was organized in the territory that contributes to compliance with the policy, which includes the five kilograms of animal protein with responsibility for each productive base and producers involved under the supervision of the Popular Councils. Deputy Prime Minister Tapia Fonseca demanded comprehensive attention to the agricultural polytechnic of the territory, where the qualified force is formed in the specialties of forestry, agriculture and veterinary medicine.
