The union movement of Isla de la Juventud today starred in a productive day to buy time in the furrow to tropical storm Elsa.

The culmination of the productive day was the official activation of the Municipal Defense Council, headed by its president Zunilda García, who insisted that the measures established for the current phase be complied with in accordance with the provisions of the governing documents of the Civil Defense system.
The also member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the Pinero territory emphasized the importance of self-evacuation of people who live in vulnerable conditions towards the houses of friends and / or relatives in good technical constructive condition.
The appointment served to verify that the municipality is prepared to face the onslaught of tropical storm Elsa by having a guarantee of water, electricity, communication, health, liquefied gas and trade services, among others, as well as the basic food basket from of the sale of this to the population since last Friday.
